The Gerald Frewer Memorial Trophy
This is presented annually for outstanding contributions in the field of engineering design, design management, education and training or design philosophy. Gerald C. The Founders Award
The Founder's Award is presented for Distinguished Services to the Institution of Engineering Designers. It was introduced in 1986 in honour of the Founder of the IED - Mr W. E. The Kathbert Trophy

The Hornsby Cup

We also make annual awards to students on IED accredited courses who have excelled in their studies.
All nominators should be IED members and the students should also be IED student members.

The IED Prize consists of a trophy, a certificate endorsed by the Institution and a year's free Diplomate or Graduate membership, along with the winner's details appearing in the journal magazine.
The deadline for prizes is Wednesday 29th June and should be sent to Judith Grace, Education and Training, IED, Westbury Leigh, Westbury, Wiltshire, BA13 3TA.
