The Forum consists of a fluid group of members from a wide range of organisations from industry and academia.  Representatives meet four or five times annually to talk about relevant issues, with each meeting concentrating on a central theme. Areas discussed so far include:

  • Design for X
  • Model based engineering
  • Knowledge management
  • Planning and project management
  • Design for manufacture
  • Innovation and creativity

Topics for future meetings will include:

The aim of the Forum is to improve communications between designers working in varied fields, to share knowledge and help to solve common problems. All participants sign a non-disclosure agreement to ensure confidentiality.
