The Kathbert Trophy
The Kathbert Trophy was presented to the Institution in 1995 by the late Mr Albert Marks - a long-standing member of Council - in memory of his wife who strongly supported him in all his endeavours as a designer.
The criteria for the award is that it should be presented annually to a new member of the Institution who, although not necessarily at the pinnacle of their career, has made a significant and developing contribution to design which has led to a tangible advantage to commerce and/or society. Nominations are made by the Institution's Membership Committee based largely on membership application assessments, the Professional Review interview and design portfolio assessment of the applicant's work.
