Engineering Design Journal
We publish a bi-monthly journal, Engineering Designer, for IED members, keeping them informed about the latest designs, ideas, manufacturing practices and materials and forthcoming awards and shows. Members are actively encouraged to contribute articles. Click here for more information.
Self Employed Members Directory
This provides independent and self-employed members the opportunity to promote their services and capabilities to work providers through a listing in the Directory. Inclusion is available only to IED members.
Professional advice
Design Register
The Register is only open to practising Corporate Members of the IED (MIED/FIED). It enables:
- Companies to identify and access the highest level of design competence in specific fields when seeking to employ designers or managers for specific projects.
- Individuals to prove their competence to prospective employers, or for employers to show that they are employing competent designers or managers.
Professional advice and guidance and library.
We have many years experience and knowledge in field of engineering design. Our team is on hand to answer and refer member queries. We also hold a substantial and comprehensive library which is a massive resource of conceptual, technical and historical knowledge.
