ILOs and ELOs
The IED is run by the Secretary and Chief Executive and supported by a team of staff. The Chief Executive reports to the IED Council. You can find out more about the IED team and the Council here.
Industrial Liaison Officers (ILOs) and Education Liaison Officers (ELOs) are volunteer members who act as points of contact for all members and potential members in their company or educational centre. They give advice to existing and potential members on issues relating to membership and the IED in general and help to arrange visits and seminars to the organisation. ILOs and ELOs are fully supported by the staff at IED HQ and are a valuable resource in the smooth running of the Institution.
