Product Innovation Show Employer Reception

Employers and industry professionals are being invited to the Product Innovation Show Employer Reception on Tuesday 29th May at 5.30pm.

The show will highlight the best in innovation from over 90, 1st, 2nd and 3rd year BSc(Hons) students.  Exhibitng subject areas cover product design, sports technology, automotive product development and a broad range of other 3D design projects.  The skills presented include industrial design sketching, 3D solid and surface modelling, photo-realistic rendering and prototyping.

The event includes a drinks reception and the opportunity to network with the exhibitors as they personally guide you through their displays.

These programmes aim to develop innovative skills required by industry and each project is selected based on the level of innovation and creativity, the technical content and its commercial value.  We describe this as being from "art to part". The show is a celebration of the students work and is open to all students.

Amongst the projects selected for short list are: user-centred tablet computer design; digital photo locket; sports agility trainer; UV therapy device; modern walking aid; multi-sensory speaker system; ski binding design; dietary cookware solution; passive speaker system; hygienic cutting board; drum kit fixing mechanism; sustainable garden furniture; modular playground equipment; polo mallet development; visible light switch design and many more.

There will also be a section that promotes our latest industrial live development projects with Abingdon Music Research.
