4th International Conference on Rapid Manufacturing
July 8th 2009 - July 9th 2009
First announcement & call for exceptional papers
Now entering its fourth year, the International Conference on Rapid Manufacturing is widely regarded as one of the leading platforms for both academics and industrialists engaged in this exciting new field. Hosted by the World leading Rapid Manufacturing Research Group at Loughborough University UK, the conference attracts over 150 delegates from around the globe and brings together researchers, vendors and users of additive technologies. The 2009 conference will again focus on RM process and materials development, supply chain and management issues, design for RM and novel RM applications within industry.
To maintain its position as one of the preeminent conferences in this field, the organising committee has decided that five out of the twenty presentations at the 2009 conference will be as the result of an open call for papers. Abstracts of 400 words or less are now invited from leading academics or industrialists engaged in either ground breaking RM research or commercial application. Abstracts will not be accepted from research staff or students, or commercial technology vendors. However, exceptional partnership papers will be considered if presented by a leading academic or technology user.
In the first instance abstracts should be sent by 9.00am (GMT) on the 28th January 2009 to donna@rm-conference.com.
