The Gerald Frewer Memorial Trophy

This is presented annually for outstanding contributions in the field of engineering design, design management, education and training or design philosophy.  Gerald C. Frewer was a practising designer at the Kennedy Space Centre and was renowned for his lectures and articles on the American Space Programme. He wrote and spoke articulately and with much enthusiasm about the work that he loved. He died in April 1978 and left a gift to the Institution to finance the award.

IED Prizes

We also make annual awards to students on IED accredited courses who have excelled in their studies.

All nominators should be IED members and the students should also be IED student members.

The IED Prize consists of a trophy, a certificate endorsed by the Institution and a year's free Diplomate or Graduate membership, along with the winner's details appearing in the journal magazine.

The deadline for prizes is Wednesday 27 June 2012 and should be sent to Judith Grace, Education and Training, IED, Westbury Leigh, Westbury, Wiltshire, BA13 3TA.
